Jack,

Your lecture was informative and clearly presented. I work in Child and Adolescent Psych and would welcome more information relating to DDI regarding volume of distribution and absorption.

Thanks for this Jack
I remember from medical school a mnemonic which I have till date found helpful- pharmaco'D'ynamics is what the 'D'rug 'D'es to the body; pharmacodynamics is what the body does to the drug.
Cheers

I wuld welcome more specific examples of the various mechanisms of DDI's, such as you have done with the triptans for migraine combined with an SSRI/SNRI, etc. The effect of carbamazepine on birth control drugs seems to be a very practical example often refered to in exams.

This is very important to me. I hate having to wade through the spin that pharmaceutical companies are so very skilled at creating, and i wonder if I end up being overly cynical about medications as a result.

I too have been very disappointed with many aspects of my psychiatric training. I feel like I can do some things, like an H&P quick enough to give anyone some competition, but when it comes to the ins and outs of psychopharm I feel left in the dust despite attending all of my lectures in training on the subject:)

"Pharma free" rimes with INTEGRITY! I appreciate a "pharma free" course.

As a psychiatrist, I am constantly trying to take in and filter "multi modal" and "multi channel" information. I subject "pharma" informatin to double scruitany. While I am always thinking criticically, its nice to be able to relax and learn without having to question the motives and integrity of the industry.
